This piece complements the lowercase version (above). In this one, students practice the capital T letter 10 times across 6 lines, developing form and structure while also understanding that capitals do not connect to the follow-up letters.

For this page, we practice our second focus word: tail. Help students to focus on keeping pen to paper throughout the word, especially as they transition from the lowercase t to the a.

For our final focus letter, students practice the word ‘time’ 18 times, this time with a transition from the t to the letter i. Students complete the word before returning back to cross the t and dot the i.

This version combines the three words from the previous practice pieces into one. This page is designed to test students’ mastery before moving onto full sentences. Observe the child’s writing through these words, seeing if they have achieved fluency and correct stroke pattern throughout. Once confident, we can move onto the full sentence piece (next).

For our final two sheets, students get practice writing full cursive sentences using words beginning with T. In this version, the sentence is short and written three times for repetition. This sheet also contains horizontal tracing lines as a guide for students. The sentence reads: “The tree is tall and straight.”

The final and most difficult page asks students to write a full complex sentence with difficult words. Students write: “The tiny turtle tiptoed through the tall tulips, tracing trails toward the tranquil tide.”
