Free Numbers 1-20 Tracing Worksheets – 8 Versions
Version 1
Designed by Chris
This version provides a model number on the left, then three faint dot tracing numbers for each number 1-20 for children to trace, helping them to practice and refine their fine motor skills while also learning number knowledge and recognition.
Version 2
Designed by Chris
This piece requires students to trace each number just once. These large numbers are great for younger students, beginners, or children who still need practice refining their fine motor skills.
Version 3
Designed by Chris
In this version, students don’t have dot tracing to follow, which helps to increase the difficulty level. Instead, they are provided a model in the top left corner of each of the twenty boxes, and they need to copy that number in larger font in the box.
Version 4
Designed by Chris
This version crosses over two pages, which allowed me to make space for more tracing practice for each of the twenty numbers. Each line starts with a model, then students trace each number about 5-8 times for each number, until the students complete the full line.
Version 5
Designed by Chris
This is the upwardly differentiated version of the previous set, which involves the same two pages of numbers with models on the left of the lines. However, it does not contain the faint dotted numbers for students to trace, meaning they need to form the numbers themselves, which adds a layer of difficulty.
Version 6
Designed by Chris
This version requires students to trace each number in order, three times, without the horizontal tracing guidelines.
Version 7
Designed by Chris
For this version, we practice writing the words to spell out each number. This easier option provides both a model on the left and faint dot letters on each line that students can trace over.
Version 8
Designed by Chris
This is the upwardly differentiated version of the previous version. It retains the horizontal handwriting lines, and maintains the model words on the left, but no longer has the faint dot tracing, meaning students have to write each word with less guidance.
