This Pre-K version is designed to help children to memorize numbers and differentiate between them. The number they need to color is presented on the top-right of the page. They then need to find it in the balloons below. Each time they find the number, they need to color that balloon in their favorite colors!

This version contains a very large bubble number which takes up nearly the whole page. It’s designed for very beginners, but has been used by readers as a poster on Pre-K and Kindergarten walls as well. If you use it as a worksheet, encourage the child to trace the lines in the order suggested by the arrows, then trace the word at the bottom under the letter.

In this version, I’ve provided a range of fun number activities, including tracing within the bubble number (which also contains stroke instructions to help children understand the most efficient way to form the stroeks), as well as writing the full word within large dot tracing letters, and coloring the number of balloons that correspond with our target number.

This version introduces horizontal handwriting lines to guide children in maintaining consistent size and alignment while writing. By tracing the number repeatedly across these lines, children can develop muscle memory and improve their control. Once they’re comfortable with this format, they can progress to versions without tracing aids for more independent practice.

On this version, children start by coloring the number of balloons that corresponds with our target number, demonstrating understanding of the mathematical concept of numbers and counting. Then, we move onto tracing the number repeatedly to develp muscle memory and familiarity with its written form.

In this version, children not only get practice in writing the number, but also the word. I’ve provided capitalized and lowercase versions for children to get sufficient practice of the word in both formats. You can also encourage your child to color the bubble number in the top-right corner once they have finished the tracing exercise.

This version focuses on the word representing the number throughout. Children are provided with a model at the beginning of each line as well as dots they can trace over while practicing the word on repeat. Once your child has completed this version, I recommend the similar word-writing version lower down that doesn’t have the dot tracing, which will be the next level of difficulty up.

This sheet asks students to write the number repeatedly across six lines, but this time there are no dots for guidance. Instead, students must write the letter independently within the horizontal handwriting lines. A model is provided at the start of each line to help the child remember the form and shape.

This worksheet focuses on writing the word for the number independently, without dotted tracing. Children are provided with horizontal handwriting lines to support consistent size and spacing, and a model word at the start of each line for reference. Once they finish, they can color the number and balloon at the top-right as a fun reward.
