This collection of vegetable flashcards includes 24 common vegetables in two sizes: medium and large. They’re designed to be printed onto A4 paper.
Teachers and homeschoolers have found the medium size best for games that involve holding the decks, while the large size best for younger students. Try both sizes out and see which is best for you.
These sets contain the following vegetables: Carrot, Broccoli, Spinach, Cauliflower, Kale, Potato, Sweet Potato, Rhubarb, Cucumber, Zucchini, Bell pepper, Eggplant, Lettuce, Cabbage, Onion, Garlic, Celery, Green beans, Peas, Corn, Radish, Asparagus, Beetroot, Brussel sprouts.
All the flashcards are designed to be printed onto A4 paper, but make sure you select the “shrink to fit” option when printing to avoid any cut-offs on your print.

How to Use These Flashcards
These flashcards can be used for toddlers, children, and second language learners. Print them, cut them out by following the outlines, then laminate them for longevity. Then, the cards can be shuffled and used on a regular basis to promote rote memorization of vegetable names in the English language.
These cards are particularly useful for second language learners because they feature simply the image and the English word, not the word in the native language of the learner. As a result, learners are encouraged to only focus on the word and image, without having to translate the native word every time you think about it.
Games Ideas
This set can be used for games such as Snap and Memory.
- Snap: To play snap, print 2 or more sets (4 is great!), shuffle the packs, and split the pack evenly between all players. Players hold their deck face down. Each player takes a turn at turning-up their card and placing it on the middle pile. If at any point the same vegetable (or vegetable image + word combination) is turned up twice in a row, the players race to place their palm over the card pile. The winner of the round gets to keep the pile. The game ends when one person wins all the cards in the deck.
- Memory: To play memory, print 2 or more sets then lay all the cards out in an array/grid, face down. In each turn, each player gets to turn up 2 cards. If they turn up 2 cards representing the same vegetable, they get to keep the cards! If not, they turn the cards face down again and need to try to remember what vegetable was under that card so they can aim for a match next time.
